What You Need to Know
- Drivers under 17 must have:
• Completed 8 hours of classroom instruction
• Completed 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction
• Held a South Carolina learner’s permit for at least 180 days - Drivers age 17 must have held a South Carolina learner’s permit for at least 180 days
- Drivers 18 and older must have held a South Carolina learner’s permit for at least 30 days
- Must bring permit as it is required to test.
- 2-hour lesson available before test (recommended)
- Testing available weekdays and weekends
- Car provided
