Prepare for your Learner's permit
Our two-hour Permit Prep Classroom gives first-time drivers structured, instructor-led preparation for the South Carolina permit knowledge test. Students review traffic laws, road signs, right-of-way rules, and essential safe-driving concepts in a clear and supportive classroom environment.
After the classroom, students will take the permit knowledge test at Advantage Driving. Students who pass will receive a successful test receipt to take to an SCDMV branch, along with the required identification documents, to have their learner’s permit issued.

How it works
Step 1 - Attend the Classroom
Participate in two hours of instructor-led preparation covering traffic laws, road signs, right-of-way rules, and safe-driving concepts.
Take the South Carolina permit knowledge test at Advantage Driving immediately following the classroom.
Students who pass receive a successful test receipt. Take the receipt and all required identification documents to an SCDMV branch to have the learner’s permit issued.
